Remember my blog post about the long hoodie? (If not, read it here.) That hoodie is almost ready. I’m just finishing the instructions. So, you can expect to see it soon.
The new doll clothes pattern includes the long hoodie, a long-sleeved tunic, slim pants and these adorable fringed, lace-up knee boots. The hoodie is sewn from fabric. It is NOT knit from yarn. So, it’s very quick and easy to make.
I’ll send an email to the list to let you know when this new pattern is available on the site.
Your American Girl dolls will love it. Here’s a sneak peek…
Please leave a comment and let me know how you like it.

I love this outfit. (I’m partial to early 70s stuff! although today’s outfits have so many similar elements.) I may have to buy this one even though I make my own patterns.

I’m not a knitter but cute sweater! Thanks so much for the play money! That is SO fun! Now I just need to make that hobo bag!

Stephanie,
The hoodie is cut out and sewn from (pre-knitted) fabric, using a paper pattern. It is NOT knit from yarn. So, it’s very quick and easy to make. Any knit fabric will work, as well as recycled sweatshirt fabric.

That is so cute. I have already made the hobo bag (easy pattern) and printed some money for it. I also made the baby doll PJs and they turned out so cute. My granddaughter is going to love these things.

I really like the hoodie and the best part is recycling your clothing for your doll!! Thank you for being green and encouraging the rest of us to do the same.

I made several hobo bags from leather pieces I bought from a flea market. The money of course is stuffed inside. I make clothes and accessories to give with a doll (at lease 3 outfits +) to the less fortunate in out Houston area. The free patterns are wonderful.

The hoodie is adorable. I sew everything for my 5 grandaughter’s dolls plus my own two. I just found this site on xmas eve and sewed 5 hobo bags that night. Loved them. Can”t wait for the hoodie.

Thought I’d pass this hint along:
I find a needle nose pliers is great to use when threading ribbon or elastic through a hole, or to hold small items that you may be gluing on. I love Fabri-tac glue.
