Neat idea. I am into making clothes for my Granddaughter’s American girl doll Chrissa.I am sure she will love the hobo bag. I also find some cute baby clothes at garage sales and I alter the to fit Chrissa. I try to get some that have matching hats. I have already done 3. I look for at least 0-6months clothes.

THE BAG AND THE MONEY ARE ADORABLE. THE 3 LITTLE GIRLS THAT I AM MAKING THE CLOTHES FOR WILL GET A KICK OUT OF THEM. I HAVE BEEN USING T-SHIRTS AND SOCKS THAT I BUY IN DOLLAR TREE. THE T-SHIRTS CAN BE MADE INTO SHIRTS FOR THE DOLLS AND PANTIES. THEY EVEN HAVE INFANT ONES THAT HAVE SMALL DESIGNS ON THE FRONT. CHILDRENS SOCKS CAN BE USED FOR RIBBING.
June 8th, 2009 at 1:57 pm
I made two hobo bags for my Granddaughter’s American Girl Dolls. I’m sure they will love them, especially with the add treat of doll size money.

The US money looks great – how would you feel about making some Canadian money too? It should be fun – our money is so much more colourful!
I don’t really expect you to do this, of course – but it would be great if you did!
June 9th, 2009 at 7:19 pm
Jeanie,
I hadn’t planned on making any Canadian money. But, I was thinking of creating a United States passport for the dolls to carry in their hobo bags. That way they could go to Canada, get a job and make their own Canadian money.

The white tunic top the doll is wearing in the ‘hobo bag’ photo came on a Madame Alexander Girlz doll. I didn’t make it.
