Mags,
My patterns fit all of the 18-inch American Dolls. You'll notice the doll wearing the casual outfit is Kaya, like your doll.

My designs are contemporary styles, like today's girls wear. I don't have any historic patterns.

That is so cute. I have already made the hobo bag (easy pattern) and printed some money for it. I also made the baby doll PJs and they turned out so cute. My granddaughter is going to love these things.

The trick for enlarging on a copier also works for the My Twinn dolls. It takes patience using 8x11 paper because you have to tape pieces together. I made 4 hobo bags enclosing your free money, the granddaughters were thrilled. Thank you

Jane,
I just used narrow elastic and made a band the size of the doll's head. Then your 'decorations' can be sewn on to the elastic by hand.

For a certain color, you can cover the elastic with a fabric casing to match your doll's outfit, or use a ribbon band. (with the elastic hidden under the doll's hair.)

I would not use any kind of hard material for a headband. You want to avoid tangling or damaging the doll's wig.

Danielle,
Sorry, I don't have a Fancy Nancy doll. It takes so much time to create original patterns, I have to stick with one body type. (18' American Girl Dolls)

If I had your problem, I would go to Target and purchase a ready-made outfit that fits the doll's body snugly. It should be a basic style, like a t-shirt and a pair of pants. Then I would VERY carefully (so as NOT to stretch it) rip it apart, gently iron it and trace around the individual pieces to create a paper pattern.

Then you can make lots of t-shirts and pants in different fabrics. Hope that helps.

Linda,
I spray a very small amount of Armour All (the stuff men spray on their car tires to make them shine)on the doll's hair and comb it through. Make sure you've covered the doll in plastic wrap to avoid getting the spray on other parts of her body. Blot off any excess with a cotton t-shirt. Then, wait a day or two to let it soak in before you play with the doll.
